2.4-3 meters (ordinary fire trucks) or 4.5 meters (special fire trucks)
The width of fire trucks varies depending on the model and purpose, and is mainly divided into the following two categories: ‌

1. Width of ordinary fire trucks ‌
Conventional range ‌: Most ordinary fire trucks are between 2.4 meters and 3 meters wide.
For example: Foam fire trucks are about 2.47 meters wide, rescue trucks are about 2.4-2.55 meters wide, and water tank pump trucks are 2.5 meters wide.
Design basis ‌: The width must meet the needs of narrow road traffic and accommodate equipment and personnel.
2. Width of special fire trucks ‌
Maximum width ‌: Some special vehicles (such as aerial platform vehicles and dry powder foam combined vehicles) can reach a width of 4.5 meters.
For example: 101 aerial platform vehicles are 2.55 meters wide, and dry powder foam combined vehicles are 2.8 meters wide.
‌Regulatory restrictions‌: The state stipulates that the maximum width of a fire truck shall not exceed 4.5 meters, and the minimum width shall not be less than 1.95 meters.
3. ‌Related regulations and traffic requirements‌
‌Fire truck lane standards‌: The net width must be ≥ 4 meters to ensure the normal passage and turning of fire trucks.
‌Comparison reference‌: The width of a fire truck is approximately equal to that of 2 cars (the average width of a car is 1.7 meters).
